Departing from London Marylebone
The London to Oxford train departs from London Marylebone station. Located in the Marylebone area of the City of Westminster, it has a direct connection to the Bakerloo line on the Tube at Marylebone. Baker Street station nearby (five minutes on foot) is served by the Hammersmith & City, Jubilee, Metropolitan and Circle lines.

- Standard Class: All trains offer free WiFi and ample luggage space. Turbo trains operating on shorter-distance routes don’t include power sockets. Seating is in a 2+2 format at the ends of the carriage, and a 3+2 configuration in the middle.
Chiltern Railways train travel advice
- Luggage: Bring up to two larger luggage items (30 x 70 x 90 centimetres max.) and a smaller piece of hand luggage.
- Bicycles: Fully folded bikes and e-bikes are permitted at all times. Non-folding bicycles are not allowed during peak hours. E-scooters, hoverboards and e-skateboards aren’t permitted.
- Children: Under-5s travel free, and those aged 5–15 can buy a Child ticket. Teens aged 16 and above must pay an adult fare, unless they have a 16–17 Saver Railcard. Up to four under-16s can travel for £1 with an adult with a London Family Travelcard.
- Pets: Up to two dogs or small domestic animals must be on a lead or in a fully enclosed carrier.
